A review of: Yasmine's A book of poemtry and other writings

Author: Yasmine Jameson

ISBN: 9781301988181

Rating: 4/5

The beauthy of Yasmine's poetry is in its simplicity. The sharpness of words that convey great meanings in such short words. Some of her poems take the reader to a spell of meditativve rumination on the meaning within. That is the quality which makes a poem meaningfully a 'POEM' - when it inducesin the reader a positive thought process. This quality is candid in the author's poems. No doubt this collection will be a 'goodread' for the reader.

The title of this collection of inevitable poetic gems says it all – ‘wings of emotions’. There can’t be a better title to this garland of touching and poignant poems. Euphonos, has been able to completely manifest her poetical talents in this collection. Like a dart of overwhelming nausea penetrating in to the conscience of the modern-day reader - caught up in the rat-race of the new-world, indifferent to emotions, feelings and relations that are within and around him, Euphonos’s  words strike us , inducing a blissful spell of meditative retrospect, in which the reader visualizes himself/herself as a cluster of strong, yeat suppressed feelings, desires and surges; of indomitable emotions.
Euphonos writes about friendship, dreams, love, fear, relationships and the longing for the confrontation for the loved one of one’s dreams. She beautifully captures the marvels of nature like rain and wind, and cleverly describes the psychedelic effect that they induce in the human mind. Her poems reach their peak of excellence when the subject is love- when they are humble prayers to the Holy phenomenon of romance. She is undoubtedly a romantic poet, basically.
