A review of: A Book of poemtry and other writings

Author: Yasmine Jameson

ISBN: 9781301988181

Rating: 4/5

The beauty of Yasmine's poetry is in its simplicity. The sharpness of words that convey great meanings in such short words. Some of her poems take the reader to a spell of meditative rumination on the meaning within. That is the quality which makes a poem meaningfully a 'POEM' - when it induces in the reader a positive thought process. This quality is candid in the author's poems. No doubt this collection will be a 'goodread' for the reader.

A REVIEW OF: WINGS OF EMOTIONS

Author: Euphonos Aus

Publisher: Euphonos

No of pages:  32

ASIN: B00G4T9YBM

Price: 199 INR

Rating: 5/5

The title of this collection of invaluable poetic gems says it all – ‘wings of emotions’. There can’t be a better title to this garland of touching and poignant poems. Euphonos, has been able to completely manifest her poetical talents in this collection. Like a dart of overwhelming nausea penetrating in to the conscience of the modern-day reader - caught up in the rat-race of the new-world, indifferent to emotions, feelings and relations that are within and around him, Euphonos’s  words strike us , inducing a blissful spell of meditative retrospect, in which the reader visualizes himself/herself as a cluster of strong, yet suppressed feelings, desires and surges; of indomitable emotions.
Euphonos writes about friendship, dreams, love, fear, relationships and the longing for the confrontation for the loved one of one’s dreams. She beautifully captures the marvels of nature like rain and wind, and cleverly describes the psychedelic effect that they induce in the human mind. Her poems reach their peak of excellence when the subject is love- when they are humble prayers to the Holy phenomenon of romance. She is undoubtedly a romantic poet, basically

Selections from The Complete  Works of Swami Vivekananda

Selections from The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda is an appreciable compilation of invaluable gems from Swami Vivekananda’s works. The book includes Swami Ji’s lectures, Notes, Discourses, Interviews, Questions and answers9at the Belur Math), Swami Ji’s inspired talks, his conversations, his notable writings and letters.
The most appreciable element of this compilation is a collection of Swami Ji’s magnificent poems like The Song of the Sanyasin, My Play Is Done etc… Swami ji’s simple yet detailed discourses cover almost all triumphant topics of religion(mostly Hindu) and answers all queries that a spiritual aspirant reader may have(helps others too, as it did to me J) ranging from Bhakthi, Rajayoga,,Vedantha Philosophy  etc.
The chief advantage of having this book in your shelf (and having read it) is that if you are completely ignorant of Swami Vivekananda, his life and teachings, you could get a concrete idea and knowledge by reading the 558 pages, it’s a great convenience comparing to the hardbound, big volumes you have to consume otherwise. This little book is like an all-in- one capsule of swami ji’s teachings, his life, and everything about his life.
Its going be a valuable addition to your personal library; an invaluable gem.

Euphonos is basically talented poet, i would state, for, in everything she writes the astounding poetic element (and style) is candidly visible. In pieces of time, a wonderful romantic novel, what catches the reader first is the 'exceptional poetic' writing style, which adds color to the subject of romance - gifting the author a psychedelic delight of romance.

In pieces of time Euphonos twins the wonderful romantic masterpiece around the romantic protagonist Linda. Whose character description deserves a lot of applause for its clear cut description of her beliefs and hopes of love. Linda is ready to wait patiently to confront the phenomenon of romance to embrace her, but  by rendering all that she could do from her side. Euphonos carefully places the central character in the reader's mind, that as the chapters progress, the reader feels more life from the pages seeping in to the image of the protagonist inside him.By the end he finds himself having developed a strong bond with the character. The story is twinned around Linda and  Terry Roberts(Linda's brother), their life's journey , as they embark on the inevitable shift from the cozy campus of their high school to the outer world.  The intro of Michael Flynn is candid and well written, by which the entire pace of the story changes. It is from this point that Euphonos's magical pen starts doing it's magic. The story there-on progress through their romantic relationship of Linda and Michael. A triumphant definition of true love.
No doubt Pieces of time will be a romantic treat for the reader.
